Baby Porch?

Welcome to my Thursday night... Had an amazing chat w/ Peanut Butta tonight that made me crack up........ when ur pregnant, am i going to get an inside look at your uterus via facebook? why WOULDNT you lol awesome its weird. to post pics of your fetus. maybe ill feel diffrently when its my little fetus. you can look forward to pictures of me peeing on the stick, the peed upon stick, porch's face after seeing the + sign, each and every ultrasound, the entire labor and delivery, and every. single. milestone. until he/she has his/her own facebook page hahah THANKGOD. wouldn't want you to miss a single intimate and private family moment. bahah well ill be there for the labor and delivery. RIGHT um, you're totally pulling the creature outta me so suit up i would do it too doesnt gross me out. unless your baby really is a creature. Well. It might be a food baby.

Just me & Barnabe

It's true.  Barnabe & I have been having some incredible amounts of Mommy & Me time this month.  I even gave him a little haircut (this cracks Roxanne up every time I tell her this & I don't know why because it's true -- I do have to trim him or he ends up looking more like a shrub and well, no son of my is gonna be a shrub).  My son, Barnabe Jones, showing off his new hair cut.  Hey, at least it's not 8 cats.  I finally rearranged the living space back to how it was before the maddness of winter holiday travel and now that it's back to being all cozy and relaxing, there's no one here to enjoy it but Barnabe.  Cozy, no? He spends his days soaking up the sunlight while Porch & I work the craziest hours yet.  Case in point, I got home last night at 7 and worked until about 9:30, patted myself on the back for being such a hard worker, and then settled in with a book.  Time passed and I realized I was still the only person (sorry Barnab

Bringing work home...

One of our sites is preparing for NAEYC accreditation and I've been spending a lot (this feels like an understatement) of time at the site helping the classrooms on their journey through the process. I was at the site this weekend and we noticed the covers on the stools in the writing area were getting a little gross with marker and pen (and boogers, etc). The teacher had washed them at home and that did the trick for a little while, but it wasn't a solution. So I'm standing there staring at her stuff and I ask if she's considered dying them.... In the process, I gained a project. I stopped by JoAnn Fabrics and picked out what I considered to be a child-friendly color (olive) and came home to get started! Yeah, they were pretty dingy. $3.79 and 15% off for bein' a teacher....everyone in education needs to take advantage of this discount! So far, so good!!!
