As we prepare to cheer for the Packers this weekend in their first playoff game, I'm kind of curious to know if there's a point at which the NFL calls uncle. I know games are delayed if there's lightening, but what if the wind chill is -50? That's really not safe and as much as I love a good cold weather game, it makes me nervous. What if they get frostbite? We all know that Green Bay fans are the most bad-ass of all but when I read this advisory on the Weather Channel's website, I got really curious about the regulations:
* BITTERLY COLD AIR WILL SURGE INTO THE AREA STARTING SATURDAY AFTERNOON. THE COMBINATION OF COLD AND WIND WILL DRIVE WIND CHILL INDICES INTO THE 20 BELOW TO 35 BELOW ZERO RANGE SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY. WIND CHILLS IN THIS RANGE INDICATE THAT FROSTBITE TO EXPOSED SKIN CAN OCCUR IN 20 TO 30 MINUTES.
Is there somewhere that says when it's too cold to play? Either way, hoping the fans and teams are safe this weekend. Los Porchs will be screaming at the tv in support of the Pack!
