Getting things organized for maternity leave is hard work! I keep thinking of all the things I need to get in order at the center before I leave (yes, I know I still have a few months, but it's in my nature to worry). I want to be able to enjoy my time at home with Baby Porch and not be feeling like I totally dropped the ball on my staff. So I'm trying to work ahead of myself in some aspects and coach others to do what can't be done ahead of time. I just offered the administrative assistant position to someone I think will be amazing, based on her references and my personal experience with this candidate. Turns out step 1 of preparing for a leave of absence should be making sure there's a full team when I leave.
